Derailment of non-passenger Metro train, delays on Blue, Orange and Silver lines.

Metro said normal service is back on the Red Line. WASHINGTON — A Metro train that was carrying no passengers has derailed Monday morning, causing major delays and crowding on the orange, blue and silver lines during morning rush. Silver line trains are only operating between the Wiehle Avenue and East Falls Church stations. “Whenever we have this kind of a service disruption downtown, there’s really no way to run trains as frequently as we would normally run them, and that’s where folks start feeling that crowding, and that slow going”.
